We used the GSVA method to evaluate the cancer immune cycle and found that JAK2-mutated patients had higher expression of many cancer immune cycles, including those related to (step 1) the release of cancer cell antigens, (step 3) priming and activation, (step 4) trafficking of immune cells to tumors, (step 5) infiltration of immune cells into tumors, (step 6) recognition of cancer cells by T cells, and (step 7) killing of cancer cells, than JAK2-wild patients (Fig. 3A), indicating that cancer immune cycles may be more active in patients with JAK2 mutations.
