In MM cells harboring 1q + , upregulation of several genes at the1q locus, such as cyclin-dependent kinases regulatory subunit 1B (CKS1B), PDZ domain-containing scaffolding protein 1 (PDZK1), 26 S proteasome non-ATPase subunit 4 (PSMD4), Acidic Nuclear Phosphoprotein 32 Family Member E (ANP32E), interleukin enhancer binding factor 2 (ILF-2) and myeloid cell leukemia sequence 1 (MCL-1) have been postulated to contribute to oncogenesis and drive drug resistance [1, 3–6]. The gene discussed is ANP32E; the disease is Miyoshi myopathy.
