No study has shown that ICAM-1 and ZO-1 can be used clinically as a diagnostic marker of LCPD, but in our in vitro study, the expression of ICAM-1 was decreased and ZO-1 was restored after intervention with biochanin A. Therefore, ICAM-1 and ZO-1 may be used to assist the clinical diagnosis of LCPD. Here, ICAM1 is linked to Legg-Calve-Perthes disease.
