INS and diabetes mellitus: Results showed significantly higher values of fatty liver (grade I–III), diabetes, waist, weight, BMI, hip circumference, WHR, FBS, TG, GGT, ALT, HbA1c, SBP, DBP, MAP, WHtR, homeostatic model assessment for insulin resistance (HOMA) index (p < 0.0001), CRP (p < 0.008) and serum insulin levels (p < 0.013), and lower values of HDL (p < 0.0001) in patients compared to the control group.
