To explore the reason for the increase in P2RX7 in epilepsy, transcriptional and translational levels were measured by qRT-PCR and Western blots, which showed that GPX4 was upregulated (Fig. 5A, B, D), whereas HO-1 was downregulated (Fig. 5A, C, E) after inhibiting P2RX7 in an epilepsy mouse model. The gene discussed is GPX4; the disease is epilepsy.
