In clinical studies, our previous research found that the proportion of Th17 cells, Th17 characteristic transcription factor RORγt and Th17‐related cytokines (IL‐17, IL‐23, IL‐6) in peripheral blood of patients with acute coronary syndrome (ACS) of CHD were significantly increased, suggesting that Th17 cells mediated the instability of AS plaques.50 The gene discussed is IL6; the disease is acute coronary syndrome.
