CGAS and subarachnoid hemorrhage: Wang et al. (2021) reported that NETs could promote tPA-induced cerebral tissue plasminogen activator (tPA) via downregulation of cyclic GMP-AMP synthase (cGAS) in stroke patients. In addition, the application of RNase was shown to suppress NET formation in mice subarachnoid hemorrhage models (Fruh et al., 2021).
