HTR5A and migraine disorder: The results showed significantly higher concentrations of 5-HT in migraine children during the ictal period compared to the interictal period and the healthy group (5-HT (ictal) = 422.61 ng/ml, 5-HT (interictal) = 277.63 ng/ml, 5-HT(h) = 359.77 ng/ml, p = 0.001) (Fig. 4M), suggesting that a sudden increase in 5-HT release may be a part of the triggering events that culminate in migraine attacks.
