MTOR and cranioectodermal dysplasia: Target prediction and gene set enrichment analyses linked the four miRNAs to signaling pathways regulating the pluripotency of stem cells, MAPK, mTOR, and TGFβ, which have been previously shown to be involved in CeD pathogenesis.41–48 These signaling pathways involving immune response and regulation of barrier function are complementary with our findings on the B. vulgatus-A2 strain genetic mutations and our functional studies that we have reported above, further supporting a possible probiotic profile of this strain.
