Several studies have also reported the role of the transcription factor AP1 (activator protein 1), NFkB (nuclear factor k beta), SP 1, NRF2 (nuclear factor-erythroid factor 2), and TFEB (transcription factor EB) in initiating the process of neuro degeneration that might lead to the development of AD (Rai et al., 2021b).
