NEFL and Parkinson disease: As reported by Hansson et al. [27] blood NfL differentiated PD (n = 20) and healthy controls (n = 26) from CBS (n = 12) with a sensitivity of 82% and a specificity of 92% (AUC 0.92; 95%CI 0.88–0.95) in one cohort, and PD (n = 171) and healthy controls (n = 53) from CBS (n = 5) with a sensitivity of 93% and a specificity of 83% (AUC 0.9; 95% CI 0.85–0.98) in a second cohort.
