Genetic predisposition (syndromes) have also been suggested by an accumulating body of evidence, especially among younger cancer patients.57, 58, 59 Among others, this includes BRCA and the well-known TP53 germline mutation-related Li–Fraumeni syndrome, which increases the risk of several AYA-specific cancers.59, 60, 61BRCA1 and BRCA2 mutation carriers typically have increased breast, ovarian, uterine, and pancreatic cancer risk.59 This evidence concerns the gene BRCA2 and pancreatic neoplasm.
