A report on 156,000 adults from the China Kadooie Biobank involving genotype results for MTHFR C677T polymorphism and stroke (n = 2240) reported that individuals with TT genotypes for MTHFR were associated with 13% higher risks of total stroke (with a 2-fold stronger association with intra-cerebral haemorrhage than with ischaemic stroke) than the reference CC genotype, consistent with the results of the CSPPT trial in China.13 This evidence concerns the gene MTHFR and stroke disorder.
