The results showed that the NLR was a more effective predictor of NP than pleural effusion, CRP levels, preadmission fever duration, LDH levels, and WBC counts, with AUCs of 0.888, 0.834, 0.827, 0.784, 0.729, and 0.725, respectively (Figure 2A).
