Given the known upregulation of proinflammatory cytokines, IL-6 and TNFa, through TLR5 stimulation by FP-treatment, and their association with the senescence-associated secretory phenotype (SASP), we further investigated the impact of FPNI treatment on these cytokine levels in the bleomycin-induced lung fibrosis model. This evidence concerns the gene TLR5 and pulmonary fibrosis.
