Interestingly, we intersected 1,795 differential genes that were upregulated after shikonin treatment with these 525 TSGs that were lowly expressed in lung adenocarcinoma samples, and a total of 82 TSGs were obtained, including DUSP5, PPP3CC, and GADD45B, among the 1795 upregulated genes after shikonin treatment, indicating that these 82 TSGs that were downregulated in lung adenocarcinoma were reactivated by shikonin (Fig. 4A). Here, GADD45B is linked to lung adenocarcinoma.
