All six animals showed evidence of LASV disease prior to treatment as indicated by a constellation of clinical signs that varied among animals and included decreased appetite (6/6), lymphopenia (5/6), monocytopenia (5/6); thrombocytopenia (5/6), and elevated circulating levels of AST (6/6) and C-reactive protein (6/6) (Supplementary Table 2). The gene discussed is CRP; the disease is Thrombocytopenia.
