PFKFB3 and hepatocellular carcinoma: Gu et al.115 reported that the absence of miR-192-5p increases glycolysis by upregulating glucose transporter type 1 (GLUT1), 6-phosphofructo-2-kinase/fructose-2,6-biphosphatase3 (PFKFB3), and c-Myc, which inhibit the transcription of miR-192-5p and maintain high glycolytic activity in HCC cells.
