Here, a hospital-based study with the clinical diagnosis of metabolic-related diseases or chronic conditions including obesity, dyslipidemia, hypertension, hyperhomocysteinemia, hyperuricemia, T2DM and coronary artery disease (CAD) was conducted to systematically explore the relations of FTO rs9939609 and rs17817449, and PPARD rs2016520 and rs2267668 polymorphisms with metabolic-related diseases. This evidence concerns the gene PPARD and hyperuricemia.
