The therapeutic approach to the individual suffering from HER2-positive breast cancer at an early stage involves treatment with therapeutic agents that include trastuzumab and neratinib [47]. When trastuzumab was included in the NAC regimen, it markedly increased the percentage of individuals with HER2-positive breast tumors, essentially doubling the success rate for the patients who attained a pCR [48]. The gene discussed is ERBB2; the disease is breast cancer.
