The data showed that both the expression levels of Hic-5 and LPXN were upregulated in white adipose tissues of diet-induced obesity mice (Fig. S3, C and D), implying that Hic-5 and LPXN may promote the stability of CIDEC by regulating its ubiquitination or deubiquitination during the development of obesity. This evidence concerns the gene LPXN and obesity due to melanocortin 4 receptor deficiency.
