The overexpression of EIF6 correlates with the poor prognosis of patients in many cancers, including gall bladder cancer (Golob-Schwarzl et al., 2019), lung adenocarcinoma (Shen et al., 2023), esophagus adenocarcinoma (Gao et al., 2022), hepatocellular carcinoma (Sun et al., 2021), melanoma (Zhang et al., 2022), and colorectal cancer (Lin et al., 2019). This evidence concerns the gene EIF6 and hepatocellular carcinoma.
