TPX2 has been found to be amplified and overexpressed in a wide variety of tumors, which in turn has been associated with cancer progression, metastasis, recurrence, and a poor prognosis in, for instance, breast cancer (Jiang et al., 2019), esophageal cancer (Sui et al., 2019), endometrial cancer (Wang et al., 2022), hepatocellular carcinoma (Huang et al., 2019), and colorectal carcinoma (Neumayer et al., 2014).
