CRP and Hypertension: After adjusting for age, sex, residence, educational level, marital status, smoking status, drinking status, diabetes, hypoglycemic drugs, BMI, SBP, DBP, TC, TG, LDL-C, ApoB, creatinine, uric acid, FPG, HbA1c and Hs-CRP, higher WHtR remained strongly associated with higher risk of hypertension [T3 vs. T1, hazard ratio (HR): 1.45, 95% confidence interval (CI): 1.26–1.67, p < 0.001; per 0.1-unit increase, HR: 1.30, 95% CI: 1.19–1.43, p < 0.001].
