In the current study, we found that Egr2 deletion in B6/lpr mice significantly reduced the expression of DNA methylation–sensitive Dlk1-Dio3 miRNAs, which are upregulated and implicated in the pathogenesis of autoimmune diseases such as lupus and MS (3, 19, 36, 48). This evidence concerns the gene EGR2 and systemic lupus erythematosus.
