Since both Wnt/β-catenin and mTOR signaling have established roles in regulating hepatic metabolism, the present study was designed to elucidate the relevance and molecular mechanisms governing possible β-catenin/mTOR interactions in the clinical setting of hepatic steatosis in a Wnt/β-catenin activated murine in vivo and in vitro model under homeostatic conditions and in response to HFD. The gene discussed is MTOR; the disease is Hepatic steatosis.
