With regard to the cDC1-dependent activity of SARS-CoV-2 CD8 T-cells, our data implies that CD8 cells contribute substantially to clearance of SARS-CoV-2 as attested by the viral load in the lungs: during the first 7 days post infection, virus loads were similar in both hACE2/Batf3KO and the hACE2 control mice. This evidence concerns the gene CD8A and infection.
