The decrease in XIST expression in male HCC tissues (Figure 4A) may be caused by other reasons, such as RNA post‐transcriptional modifications, etc.47, 48In female hepatocytes, the XIST promoter region is in a low methylation state (Figure 2C–E), and YY1–TET2 complex may bind in this region, maintaining the low methylation state. Here, XIST is linked to hepatocellular carcinoma.
