After for confounders (age, diabetes and CD4 count), patients with diabetes exhibited a three-fold probability of LAM-positive (OR: 3.14, 95%CI:1.06-9.29, P=0.039), and patient with increase in CD4 count, the probability of being LAM-positive decrease (OR: 0.197, 95%CI:0.046-0.85, P=0.029). Here, CD4 is linked to diabetes mellitus.
