However, a recent meta-analysis found: IL-6 was higher in young adults with CHR-P compared to healthy controls but not FHR-P compared to healthy controls; CRP and other cytokines were not elevated in CHR-P or FHR-P; and there were no significant differences between young adults with CHR-P who subsequently developed threshold psychosis and young adults with CHR-P who did not develop threshold psychosis (Misiak et al., 2021).
