CD4 and neoplasm: In vivo studies with mice inoculated with Ehrlich’s ascites mammary carcinoma (EAC) have shown that phytochemicals such as curcumin, even at low doses, increase T cell population, decrease tumor growth, increase cytotoxic activity of CD8+ T cells with an increase in IFN-γ release, and increase in CD4+ T cell and B cell populations [183,184].
