In certain cancer types, such as adrenal, pancreatic, and renal, there is a significant (p < 0.01) increase in CDKN1A/p21 expression in the tumour tissue compared to normal tissue, while in others, such as AML, colon, and lung, the opposite trend is observed (Figure 2a). This evidence concerns the gene CDKN1A and acute myeloid leukemia.
