The diabetic macroalbuminuria group had significantly higher levels of urea, creatinine, and albuminuria than the microalbuminuria group but had statistically significantly lower IL-17 and miRNA-375 levels in comparison with the other two groups and significantly lower TGF-β, Zn, and Mg serum levels when compared with the diabetic group without nephropathy (Table 2 and Figure 1B).
