Of these, the main active ingredient, kaempferol, can significantly reduce the production of NO induced by Prevotella intermedia LPS [34]; reduce alveolar bone resorption, attachment loss, and the production of matrix metalloproteinases MMP-1 and MMP-8 in periodontitis [35]; and promote the proliferation and osteogenic differentiation of periodontal ligament stem cells through the Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway [36].
