Among the features discriminating a moderately methylated triple negative breast cancer subtype (modTNBC) from all other BC methylotypes is the hypomethylation of a CpG island belonging to the leukotriene receptor 1 gene LTB4R and the leukotriene receptor 2 gene LTB4R2 (Figure 1). The gene discussed is LTB4R2; the disease is triple-negative breast carcinoma.
