Following the preliminary evidence applicable to breast cancer stating that intratumoral CD8-positive T cells are linked to the negative influence over disease-free survival rather than stromal CD8-positive T cells, given the connection with the overexpression of PD-1/PD-L1 pathway [39], we highlighted that, in melanoma, peritumoral CD8-positive T cells respect the same pattern. The gene discussed is CD8A; the disease is breast carcinoma.
