Patients afflicted with liver fibrosis exhibited the following characteristics in contrast to those who did not have fibrosis: higher BMI, greater RBC with lover MCV and anisocytosis (RDW-CV), lower PLT, higher levels of all aminotransferases (ALT, AST, GGTP), lower albumin concentration, higher fasting blood glucose, higher percentage of glycated hemoglobin, lower HDL-C, and higher trigliceryde concentration. The gene discussed is ALB; the disease is fibrosis.
