In its 2021 revision, the WHO introduced a classification for pediatric-type diffuse low-grade gliomas, encompassing four subtypes: (1) diffuse astrocytoma, MYB- or MYBL1-altered; (2) angiocentric glioma; (3) polymorphous low-grade neuroepithelial tumor of the young; and (4) diffuse low-grade, MAPK pathway-altered glioma [8]. Here, MYBL1 is linked to diffuse astrocytoma.
