Nephrotic syndrome (NS) is defined by the presence of (i) severe proteinuria (≥40 mg/m2/h or a urine protein/creatinine ratio of ≥200 mg/g or 3+ proteins on urine dipstick), (ii) hypoalbuminemia (albumin < 2.5 g/dL), and (iii) edema [1]. Here, ALB is linked to Hypoalbuminemia.
