Various tests for specific biomarkers, including prostate-specific antigen (PSA), Kallikrein 2 (hK2), urokinase plasminogen activator (uPA), transforming growth factor-beta 1 (TGF-Beta 1), interleukin-6 (IL-6), VEGF, prostate cancer antigen (PCA), CCL11/Eotaxin chemokine, and also microRNA (miRNA) are performed in the diagnosis of prostate diseases in men as an addition to the standard clinical examination.
