This study revealed that the IL1-β, IL-6, IL-8, TNF-α, NF-κB and MAPK levels as pro-inflammatory markers and CRP, fibrinogen and ferritin as serum acute phase reactants were significantly increased in the prediabetes and T2DM groups compared to nondiabetes group (Table 1). The gene discussed is TNF; the disease is prediabetes syndrome.
