This study revealed that the IL1-β, IL-6, IL-8, TNF-α, NF-κB and MAPK levels as pro-inflammatory markers and CRP, fibrinogen and ferritin as serum acute phase reactants were significantly increased in the prediabetes and T2DM groups compared to nondiabetes group (Table 1). This evidence concerns the gene NFKB1 and prediabetes syndrome.
