Our observations revealed a pronounced presence of CD4_effector and CD8_effector cells in tongue cancer tissues high in DDX5, a contrast to the markedly reduced infiltration of cells like CD4_exhausted, CD4_follicular helper, CD4_naive, and CD8_exhausted in the same tissue samples, when compared with tongue cancer tissues low in DDX5 (Figure 6D). Here, CD8A is linked to tongue cancer.
