An et al. demonstrated that CAR T-cells designed against the Ephrin type-A receptor 2 (EphA2) receptor epitope B (EphA2-b) had an extremely high IFN-γ level compared to the epitope A (EphA2-a) variant and demonstrated higher PD-L1 surface expression levels on GBM cells and an overall lower effectiveness of tumor cell killing [63] (Table 1).
