Finally, to evaluate the impact of CILP2 methylation levels on prognosis, we performed a KM analysis, which indicated that higher methylation levels of CILP2 were associated with decreased survival rates in various types of cancers, including esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCA), glioblastoma multiforme (GBM), low-grade glioma (LGG), liver hepatocellular carcinoma (LIHC), PAAD, sarcoma (SARC), stomach adenocarcinoma (STAD), and uveal melanoma (UVM) (Figure 2D and Figure S1A–J). This evidence concerns the gene CILP2 and esophageal squamous cell carcinoma.
