Concomitantly, overexpression of GPX4 canceled the increase in lipid ROS, MDA, and 4-HNE levels (Fig 5A–5C) mediated by NeuroD1 knockdown in HCC-LM3 cells, indicating that GPX4 abolished the increase in lipid peroxidation triggered by knocking down NeuroD1. This evidence concerns the gene NEUROD1 and hepatocellular carcinoma.
