In accordance with the Temporary Guidelines “Prevention, diagnosis and treatment of new coronavirus infection (COVID-19)” of the Russian Ministry of Health (versions 16 and 17), laboratory diagnostics during hospitalization include, along with a clinical blood test, a study of the level of CRP, coagulograms, and the determination of the level of procalcitonin and NT-proBNP/BNP (B-type natriuretic peptide and its N-terminal fragment). Here, CRP is linked to COVID-19.
