In addition, our in vitro studies indicate that the primary components of MB aqueous extract could be ligands of several metabolic targets (PTP1B, α-glucosidase, PPAR-α, PPAR-δ, PPAR-γ, CETP, ACAT-2, HMG-CoA reductase, and ACE) associated with diabetes mellitus type 2, dyslipidemia, hypertension, and obesity, as well as related to MetS parameters.
