ERBB2 and dilated cardiomyopathy: Using cardiomyocyte cell lines derived from human pluripotent stem cells (HPSC-CMs), Necela, BM et al. (2017) demonstrated that trastuzumab inhibits the activity of ErbB2 and genes involved in calcium homeostasis, ischemic preconditioning, and the protective function of natriuretic peptides at the onset of atrial fibrillation and dilated cardiomyopathy in cardiomyocytes.
