SIRT2 and synucleinopathy: Accordingly, SIRT2 inhibition or genetic deletion rescued α-synuclein toxicity and showed neuroprotective effects in different in vitro and in vivo models of PD [80,83,84,85,86,87], demonstrating the potential therapeutic value of SIRT2 inhibition in synucleinopathies and, more specifically, in PD.
