IL10 and Heat Stroke: Previous studies in rodent models and clinical observations have demonstrated elevated plasma levels of various cytokines in heat stroke, including pro‐inflammatory cytokines such as IL‐6, tumour necrosis factor‐αa (TNF‐α) and IL‐1β, and anti‐inflammatory cytokines such as IL‐10 (Bouchama, Parhar, et al., 1991; Bouchama et al., 2000, 1993; Leon & Helwig, 2010; Lin et al., 1997; Liu et al., 2000).
