FAM122A R105L and V107G variants showed 11- and 6-fold less inhibition than the wild-type protein, respectively (Fig. 4l and Extended Data Table 1), demonstrating that the probable mode of action of these cancer variants is due to a weaker inhibition of PP2A:B55, thereby disrupting PP2A:B55 cellular functions.
